Fractured Faces

I am working on some things to do in an art journal class for a class at a juvenile detention center. The class will run eight weeks and I want them to experience art as a free anything goes thing. I'm playing with this idea and will probably have to refine it a little, but I think it will be fun.

Hi, and I wanted to comment on your teaching. I am a retired teacher, and I can tell you that the kids will love doing the faces. Anything to do with them would be great. Maybe have them do a personal collage at some point also. That they are in trouble is sad but they are still kids and will love working with all media. They love clay too!

I would like to know how to do the fractured fces as well. I sent you an email about this, but maybe it went into outer space or something. The zentangles are a good idea for them as well - they are very absorbing and look good in color as well,
